Work Experience
Private Practice, 1999-Present

In 2007, Ms. Wender founded Tribeca Downtown Associates. In addition to her office, the facility provides office space for three other full-time therapists and one part-time therapist. We each practice independently and refer patients to each other when appropriate.

Additional Work Experience
Prior to beginning her private practice 10 years ago, Ms. Wender worked as a therapist in outpatient drug and alcohol treatment at Greenwich House, and provided therapy on a fee-for-service basis at the St. Mark’s Place Institute for Mental Health, an outpatient mental health clinic in the East Village.

Ms. Wender’s previous work experience combines a variety of skills from the nonprofit and business communities: advertising account management, development functions at two nonprofit organizations and the founding/running of her own consulting firm working with not-for-profit groups.  She draws upon her life experience to aid in understanding the issues with which patients present.
